The Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (KDSF) is a non-profit organization committed to the welfare of children with Down Syndrome. Its main focus is the education of these children who are from 2 months to 6 years old. It does this principally through its 7 Down Syndrome Centres in Malaysia which implement the Early Intervention Programme (EIP), a special curriculum which emphasizes the development of gross motor, fine motor, speech and language, social, perceptual-cognitive and pre-academic skills.

Due to expansion of programs at its National Centre in Petaling Jaya, it is seeking qualified:
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
(Selangor - Petaling Jaya)

Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/SPM/"O" Level in any field.
* Fresh graduates/Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply.
* Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.


Successful applicants will work as members of a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing early intervention program for children with Down Syndrome from 2 months – 6 years. These positions require enthusiastic and innovative individuals to provide special education teaching to children with Down Syndrome as well as provide information, education and advice to families and care-givers.

Applicants with experience in teaching children are encouraged to apply. Those without teaching experience but has the passion to work with children may also apply as training will be provided.
