Vacancy as Dean, Faculty of Media Studies

franchise and a solution provider. Our Company is now on an aggressive expansion mode and we seek suitable candidate to fill the following vacancy in our Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University College.

Dean, Faculty of Media Studies
(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

* Lead the Faculty to ensure that it achieves its annual targets in terms of student intake, quality of education and career support materials.
* Plan course curricula and develop modules for degree and diploma level in journalism, broadcasting and mass communication.
* Ensure continuous content development of all courses modules to keep abreast with current issues and new developments in Media Studies field.
* Evaluate effectiveness of training/teaching methods and make necessary recommendations to the Senate for improvements.
* Conduct research and gather data on Media Studies courses offered by local and foreign universities and education technology trends in tertiary education industry.
* Ensure that Media Studies programs offered provides graduates with strong background in the field so that they will have excellent know-how to deal with related issues in their workplaces.

Requirements:

* Master Degree/ PhD in Arts (Broadcasting, Digital Film, Advertising, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relation) or related professional qualification.
* Minimum 7 years of working experience in teaching at tertiary level.
* Must have proven track record in managing required area of work.
* Strong organizational skills with ability to work as a team player.
* Possesses initiative, the ability to act independently and a passion for academic excellence.
* Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with strong command in spoken and written English.
* Minimum 5 years experiences in the relevant industry (Journalist, News Producer, TV Producer, Public Relations Manager, Creative Director, Advertising Manager, Media Manager, Brand Manager, and Public Relations Manager) are most preferable.
